An interactive Web Audio tool that converts 90 days of NASA VIIRS satellite wildfire observations into spatial audio and trend analytics.
⚡ How to Use EMBER in 2 Simple Steps:
- Select a Country: Choose any of the 19 global country boundaries from the top dropdown menu (e.g. UK, USA, Australia, Spain, Canada...).
- Press "Start Audio / Play": Click the primary play button to launch the Web Audio engine and begin the 90-day time-lapse sonification.
🌍 1. Multi-Country Satellite Data
Analyzes 90-day time-lapse data across 19 global country boundaries, tracking daily satellite hotspot counts and peak Fire Radiative Power (MW).
🎧 2. Web Audio Sonification
Maps fire density non-linearly to 5 synth layers: pitch-mapped lead, detuned pad chords, sub-bass rumble, flame wind sweeps, and ember crackles.

Click or drag anywhere on the 90-day histogram scrubber to jump instantly between dates with dynamic rising fiery embers.
